ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - One person has been detained after a man was shot in northwest Atlanta on Friday morning, according to police.

Officers were called to a home in the 850 block of Oak Street, a residential area, at around 11:20 a.m. The victim, who had been shot multiple times, was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

The person detained has not been identified. Police also haven't released the circumstances of the shooting.
