ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A major Clayton County thoroughfare was closed Sunday afternoon as officers investigated a barricaded suspect tied to a burglary, police said.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area of Thrailkill Road and Mount Zion Boulevard through Mount Zion Boulevard and Wright Circle, as the roadway is currently closed due to an active law enforcement incident.

Police said no other suspects are involved, and they urge motorists to seek alternate routes.
