ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Dre'Ana Shellman's family said the 19-year-old  lit up  every room she entered, and they are asking the public to help investigators find the person responsible for her death.

Atlanta police said Shellman was shot and killed July 6 on Old Hapeville Road.

Relatives said Shellman was spending time with a friend when the friend's boyfriend opened fire. The family said he shot at his girlfriend's vehicle while Shellman was in the back seat and a bullet went through the car, killing her.

Shellman worked as a behavioral therapist with autistic children, relatives said.

Two weeks after the shooting, Atlanta police have not announced any arrests or publicly identified suspects.

Shellman's cousin Sherie Turner urges witnesses to contact police and asked the shooter to turn himself in.

 Dre'Ana was completely innocent,  Turner said.  She didn't have any arguments, beef with this person. 

Turner also appealed to anyone who knows the shooter's whereabouts.

 Please contact the police, and if you know him and you know where he is, let the police know because this could be your family member,  she said.
