ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A person was killed late Wednesday after a tree reportedly fell near a DeKalb County home, according to the DeKalb County Police Department.

It happened on Bretton Woods Road.

 Preliminary information indicates the death may be associated with a fallen tree in the area,  police said.

Police have not identified the person or said what caused the tree to fall.
