ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A woman wanted in Monroe County was arrested Saturday in Bibb County after firing two shots during a struggle with an investigator, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said.

Investigators identified the woman as Amber LaCount. They received an anonymous tip that she was in the Westhaven Drive area and stopped a vehicle she was believed to be in near Westhaven Drive and Pine Forest, authorities said.

LaCount got out of the driver's side and tried to run, the sheriff's office said. An investigator tackled her, and during a struggle over a firearm, LaCount fired one shot and then fired a second shot toward the investigator.

The investigator disarmed her and took her into custody.

LaCount is being held in the Bibb County jail and faces additional charges related to the incident. She also faces an armed robbery charge in Monroe County.

The investigation is ongoing.
