ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Police are investigating early Monday after a person was shot and killed on a residential street in DeKalb County.

The deadly shooting took place in the 1600 block of Treasure Cove in Decatur.

A police investigation focused on a silver sedan riddled with bullet holes.

A neighbor told Atlanta News First that she was cooking dinner for her children when she heard gunfire erupt outside her door.

Police have not said whether a suspect is in custody or identified a motive.
