ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Two women from North Carolina were arrested in Marietta on June 24 after allegedly attempting to traffic drugs to North Carolina.

Loretta Huskins and Rose Cathey were arrested during a traffic stop after Marietta police discovered half a pound of methamphetamine in their car.

Sheriff's deputies in North Carolina then searched Huskins' home and found suspected methamphetamine, digital scales and packing materials.

Huskins was charged with trafficking in cocaine, illegal drugs, marijuana or methamphetamine, failure to maintain lane and giving false name, address or birthdate to a law enforcement officer.

Cathey has been charged with trafficking in cocaine, illegal drugs, marijuana or methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine.

Both are being held without bond.
