ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A suspect in the killing of a 19-year-old woman in Atlanta earlier this month was arrested Thursday morning, according to police.

Investigators with the Atlanta Police Department's Fugitive Unit, with help from the FBI Violent Crime Task Force, arrested 19-year-old Amari Haugabook at a home on 3rd Avenue SW.

Haugabook was wanted in the death of Dre'Ana Shellman, who was fatally shot while she was in a car on Old Hapeville Road on July 6.

Relatives said Shellman was spending time with a friend when the friend's boyfriend opened fire. The family said he shot at his girlfriend's vehicle while Shellman was in the back seat. A bullet went through the car, killing Shellman.

Haugabook was taken to police headquarters to be interviewed by homicide detectives. Police said charges will be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
