ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Conyers police are in a standoff with a person barricaded in a home Wednesday afternoon.

There is a heavy police presence in the area of Park Circle as officers respond.

Police urge drivers to avoid the area if possible. Anyone in the area should be cautious, follow directions from responding officers and expect traffic delays.

A police spokesperson described the barricaded suspect as  a wanted person.  Further details on the situation have not been released.
