Residents in a portion of Joliet were asked to shelter in place as officers served a search warrant on Saturday morning.

The Joliet Police Department said in a Facebook post around 8:30 a.m. that officers and detectives were executing a search warrant in the 600 block of Dover Street near North Garnsey Avenue.

 Residents in this immediate area are requested to shelter in place,  the post added.

Police said additional information will be provided when available.
