A large police presence was outside the Chicago Federal Building in the Loop Tuesday morning, with officers from multiple law enforcement agencies at the scene for what appeared to be a shooting investigation.

Video and photos showed red and yellow police tape blocking off the Kluczynski Federal Building, at 230 S. Dearborn, along with yellow evidence markers and orange cones on the street and sidewalk. Members of the Chicago Police Department and the Department of Homeland Security could also be seen, with police cars lining South Dearborn Street near Jackson.

The words  Crime scene keep out  could be seen printed on the police tape as pedestrians walked near the typically busy area.
