A suburban school bus driver was charged with 10 felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse materials, police said on Wednesday. Jon Roth, a 43-year-old who drives buses for Huntley Community School District 158, was arrested and charged after information obtained from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children data system was shared with the Huntley Police Department by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force regarding a phone number registered to a person in Huntley that was attempting to upload potential child sexual abuse materials for download via a cloud-based online storage service, police said. WATCH HERE WATCH HERE Huntley police worked with Illinois Attorney General Investigators, Illinois State Police and authorities in Wisconsin to serve a search warrant at Roth's Huntley residence on Tuesday, police said, after which Roth agreed to go to the police department while investigators completed an examination and analysis of several electronic devices that were seized from his home. He was then arrested based on the evidence obtained during the search. The children in the images Roth allegedly possessed were all under the age of 13, according to the charges he is facing. Huntley 158 Superintendent Jessica Lombard sent a message to the school community addressing the situation. We are writing to share difficult and concerning news with our school community, Lombard said in the message. We have no information indicating that the materials related to the arrest pertain to any Huntley 158 student, nor do we have any reason to believe that to be the case. We do note that a bus aide is assigned to this driver's bus and has never reported any concerning conduct. Lombard also said that Roth was immediately removed from all duties and placed on leave when the district was notified of the charges. He is also prohibited from being on district property and at district events throughout the investigation, she said. We understand that this news may be deeply concerning to families. As always, the safety and #nbcchicago #crimewatchchicago
