A Huntley man was arrested earlier this week, accused of possession of child sexual abuse materials, authorities announced. Jon M. Roth, 43, was arrested Tuesday and charged with 10 counts of possession of child sexual abuse materials for victims under 13 years old, according to the Huntley police department. Roth, who was being held at the McHenry County Jail, is due back for a hearing at the McHenry County Courthouse on Oct. 27, court records show. The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force provided obtained information to the police department regarding a phone number registered to a person in Huntley who was attempting to upload potential child sexual abuse materials for download via a cloud-based online storage service, authorities said, adding that the investigation led to officials identifying Roth. Authorities served a search warrant at Roth's home and was taken into custody based on evidence gained during the search, police said. ABC7Chicago reported that Roth is a bus driver with Huntley School District 158. The district hasn't yet responded to requests for comment. #suntimes #crimewatchchicago
