Road rage apparently sparked a shooting attack that left a 32-year-old woman in critical condition Thursday morning in the Brighton Park neighborhood, Chicago police and an alderperson say. The woman was a passenger in a vehicle in the 2400 block of West 47th Street about 9:30 a.m., when a gray car pulled up beside her and a someone inside opened fire, hitting her in the head, according to police. She was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital and the shooter fled south on Western Avenue, police said. In a Facebook post, Ald. Raymond Lopez said witnesses have identified a gray four-door Toyota Scion with a rear bike rack as the shooter's vehicle. Apparent road rage led to the shooting, he said. No other injuries were reported and no arrests have been reported. Area 1 detectives are investigating. #suntimes #crimewatchchicago
