What's next:

Three of the suspects are already in custody in the United States for separate offenses, one is being held in Colombia, and an international investigation remains ongoing.

Federal officials used the announcement to sharply criticize the previous administration, stating that all eight TDA members charged in the Texas case and a separate, concurrent murder case in Chicago had crossed the southern border illegally between December 2021 and April 2024.
