A person was reportedly shot and killed in an incident involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Biddeford, Maine, on Monday morning. Maine House Speaker Ryan Fecteau, who represents Biddeford, said in a post on Facebook that a person was killed in a shooting and ICE was involved. He said Maine State Police and the Department of Public Safety are now on scene. Fisk said there will be no updates related to the investigation released by the Biddeford Police Department and that their only role in the ongoing event is providing scene security. She directed all further inquiries to ICE. Gov. Janet Mills said in a statement issued just before noon that she has been briefed on the fatal shooting this morning involving Federal law enforcement. I know that situations like these are alarming and frightening, she added. The Maine State Police are at the scene supporting and working cooperatively with the Attorney General's Office, Maine's Office of Chief Medical Examiner, and Federal officials to determine the facts of what occurred this morning.
