A driver is dead after a single-vehicle crash along State Highway 121 in Grapevine, officials said.

According to the Grapevine Police Department, the crash happened in the 700 block of southbound North State Highway 121.

Police said the vehicle left the roadway in the center median between the northbound and southbound lanes and struck a guardrail.

The vehicle then continued approximately 35 feet before coming to rest near railroad tracks, police said.


Police confirmed that the driver, who was the only person inside the vehicle, died in the crash.

According to police, there are no road closures in the area at this time, though temporary lane closures may be necessary to repair the damaged guardrail.

The cause of the crash has not been released at this time, police said.
