WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. - The body of a missing person was found washed ashore on Lake St. Clair in Grosse Pointe Farms on Tuesday, police said.

According to police, the body of a person who went missing Saturday was recovered from Lake St. Clair near Tonnancour Place and Lakeshore Drive on Sept. 8. Details regarding the missing person were not provided.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner has taken the body for further examination.

Lakeshore Drive is closed from N Moross to Provencal Road as the investigation continues.
