Police said Braham allegedly yelled at customers, claimed he was a terrorist, and referenced explosions inside a 7-Eleven.

The incident occurred at the store at 4890 W. Maple Road in Bloomfield Township.

Police were called around 9:44 a.m. Oct. 19, 2026.

Police said Braham also stole a pack of Virginia Slims cigarettes.

Braham fled on foot before responding officers located him minutes later. Police said he still had the cigarettes.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Ramzi Braham of Bloomfield Township faces a felony charge after allegedly making threats involving terrorism and explosions while yelling at customers inside a 7-Eleven.

Braham was arrested Oct. 19 after police were called to the convenience store at 4890 W. Maple Road around 9:44 a.m. for a report of a man acting erratically and stealing a pack of Virginia Slims cigarettes.

According to the Bloomfield Township Police Department, the man was yelling at customers, claimed he was a terrorist, and referenced explosions while inside the store.

When officers arrived, the man had fled on foot.

Additional responding officers located him minutes later and identified him as Braham, who police said still had the stolen cigarettes.

Braham was arrested and taken to the Bloomfield Township Police Department for further investigation.

The Warrants Division of the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office issued a one-count felony warrant charging Braham with false report or threat of terrorism, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

On Thursday (Oct. 22), investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in the 6200 block of Darramoor Road in Bloomfield Township.

Police requested assistance from Oakland County SWAT and the Michigan State Police as a precaution.

Braham was arraigned in 48th District Court
