HOUSTON - A high school teacher is facing charges tonight that he had an sexual relationship with an 18-year-old female student.

According to court documents Jesse David Sifuentes is charged with 2 counts of improper relationship with a student.


Sifuentes was an English teacher at the High School for Law and Justice when the alleged relationship took place.

In court documents, investigators say a woman came forward this year to say she was in a sexual relationship with the teacher in the 2023-24 school year.

She also stated she first met Sifuentes her junior year but that the sexual relationship didn't begin until after her 18th birthday.

Jesse Sifuentes is out of jail after posting a $90,000 bond. He is next due in court on August 19.
