Daniella Jiménez is a Hearst Fellow, working with the Houston Chronicle covering demographics and immigration.

Born and raised in Miami, Jiménez previously reported for Mother Jones, Tampa Bay Times, USA Today, Washington Post and CNBC. Her work tackled significant stories such as immigration enforcement and community resistance under the Trump administration, the cancellation of the 2023 Diversity Visa Program and educational disparities in West Contra Costa's public schools.

Jiménez earned her master's degree from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, and bachelor's degrees in journalism and international studies from American University.
