HOUSTON - A man was shot multiple times Sunday night in what he told police was a drive-by shooting outside a Houston apartment complex.

Houston Police Department officers responded at approximately 9:20 p.m. to 220 North Point Drive, where they found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso in front of the complex. Officers rendered aid at the scene before Houston Fire Department personnel transported the man to an area hospital in critical condition.


The victim told police he was shot in a drive-by shooting.

Officers located blood trails leading to an open apartment door at the complex, where they discovered blood, shell casings and narcotics inside. It was not immediately clear whether the victim lives in that apartment.

Witnesses told HPD that a woman and two men were seen running from the area following the shooting before getting into a vehicle and leaving the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing.
