Multiple people were shot inside a Kroger Wednesday afternoon in the Cypress area, according to authorities.

Around 3 p.m., Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman posted on social media that deputies responded to reports of multiple shots being fired at the grocery store at 20355 Cypresswood Drive near Fairfield Meadows Drive. Three people were shot, and a life flight was called for one to transport them for medical care. The extent of their injuries are currently unknown.

Police also said that a possible shooter has already been detained. Witnesses said they saw a man fire a weapon inside the store.


Law enforcement is urging the public to avoid the area as first responders conduct an investigation, which is still in early stages.
