An ocean water closure in Laguna Beach was in effect ahead of the holiday weekend due to a 2,000-gallon sewage spill. The OC Health Care Agency's Environmental Health Division closed the beach one quarter (0.25) miles upcoast to one quarter (0.25) miles downcoast of Anita Street at Thalia Beach.
