One person was taken into custody after four people were stabbed in University Park on Friday night, police said.

The stabbing happened near the intersection of Adams Boulevard and Flower Street near the University of Southern California at around 10:15 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Two of the people stabbed were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition, while the two others were treated and released at the scene, the LAPD said.

It's unclear if police are looking for any other people in connection to the stabbing.

Officials say this incident is not believed to be related to the deadly stabbing that happened in the same area on Sunday night.

The investigation is ongoing.
