(WMC) - The Coahoma County Sheriff's Office has arrested and charged a man accused of stealing and selling cars that he did not have permission to sell. Deputies with the Coahoma County Sheriff's Office raided the home of Clarence Crowell, who also goes by Clarence Ferguson, on Tuesday, Sept. 29. Investigators say Crowell was selling vehicles without the owners' permission, often without valid titles or bills of sale. He is charged with receiving stolen property, selling a vehicle without a title, and false pretenses. Since the arrest, several car owners have come forward saying they left their vehicles with Crowell for repair work and never got them back. Deputies are still searching for those missing cars. Authorities are asking anyone who left a vehicle with Crowell to contact the sheriff's office with proof of ownership or registration. Click here to sign up for our newsletter!
