A Shelby County grand jury returned the indictment on Oct. 8 against Michael Wallace and Jetarius Young, 28, in the killing of Kendruss Moore. Michael Wallace and Jetarius Young (SCSO) Moore was found shot June 25 at around 2:19 p.m. at in the 700 block of Ioka Avenue. He was taken to Regional One Hospital, where he died. Investigators say surveillance video showed a black Toyota Camry driven by a man in a white t-shirt circling for about 15 minutes before parking in the alley behind the victim's house. Two armed men got out, came around the front of the house and chased the victim while firing shots, the affidavit states. Police said the victim was seated on the porch when the two ran toward him and began firing. A Crime Stoppers tip later identified one of the suspects as Jetarius Young, according to the affidavit. Investigators also spoke with Young's ex-girlfriend, who informed that he told her he committed the murder. Young was arrested Aug. 1 and charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. The indictment now charges both Wallace and Young with first-degree premeditated murder and first-degree murder in the perpetration of robbery. Young is also charged with employing a firearm during a dangerous felony. Click here to sign up for our newsletter! Click here to report a spelling or grammar error.
