Sheriff's Corrections Officer Carlos Ysidro was arrested by Key West Police just before 1 a.m. Friday on a felony charge of aggravated stalking, the sheriff's office said. Watch NBC6 free wherever you are WATCH HERE WATCH HERE Ysidro is accused of repeatedly calling and texting an ex-girlfriend, then going to her home when she refused to answer the calls and texts. While he was at her home, Ysidro repeatedly knocked on the door and peered through her windows, authorities said. In fear of her safety and the safety of her two children, ages 17 and 20, who were in the home, the woman called 911, and officers responded and arrested Ysidro, who was booked into jail. Ysidro, who was hired by the sheriff's office this past December and was a probationary employee, was fired, officials said. This type of behavior is not acceptable for anyone, especially our employees, Monroe County Sheriff Rick Ramsay said in a statement. We remain committed to informing the public openly and honestly, regardless of the circumstances, and taking immediate action when something like this takes place. #nbcmiami #crimewatchmiami
