MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. - Dalianis Lazo, who is pregnant, owns the three-bedroom home where deputies said there was an attempted murder and a suicide on Thursday in Miami-Dade County's Country Walk neighborhood, property records show. Leer en espaƱol Court records show Lazo, 41, had filed a restraining order in April against Ivan Granado, a former live-in boyfriend, claiming he owned a gun, had served in the U.S. military, and abused alcohol and cocaine. A judge dismissed it over no just cause and insufficient evidence on Sept. 30. Hector Rodriguez and Cecilia Delfino were among the concerned neighbors after deputies surrounded the home and closed Southwest 148th Street, between 155th Avenue and 154th Court in the Oak Creek community. Very sweet, really very sweet, a quiet person, Rodriguez said about Lazo, who he also described as a lovely person. Delfino, Lazo's next-door neighbor, said she heard someone shout and three gunshots. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel and Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the shooting at about 11 a.m. on Thursday at 15472 SW 148 St. They discovered a male and a female who suffered gunshot wounds, Deputy Danny Castillo, a MDSO spokesman, said during a news conference on Thursday. MDFR personnel pronounced the man dead and took the woman, whose condition was critical, to the Jackson South Medical Center, according to Castillo. It appears, after discharging his firearm, he turned the firearm onto himself and committed suicide, Castillo said. Deputies had yet to confirm the identities of the man and the woman. Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 to remain anonymous.
