A 9-year-old child who was shot in Milwaukee last week has died. The shooting happened July 3 near Richards and Burleigh streets in the Harambee neighborhood.

According to police, the 9-year-old was shot just before 11:30 p.m. and was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Police said the child died from those injuries Tuesday.


Family identified the girl as Jade Riser.
