The Brief Alexzander Schlieve was sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to charges stemming from a 2023 West Allis homicide. Schlieve was sentenced to 26 ½ years in prison. In October 2023, officers found the victim, 24-year-old Noah Phillips of Racine, dead in an apartment complex parking lot.



The second of two men charged in connection to a 2023 West Allis homicide has been sentenced to prison.

Alexzander Schlieve, 27, was charged with the following in connection to the 2023 fatal shooting:

Second-degree reckless homicide, use of a dangerous weapon

Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Arson of property other than building, as party to a crime

Schlieve pleaded guilty to all the charges in February. On July 10, a judge sentenced Schlieve to 26 ½ years in prison and 17 years of extended supervision - the sentences for all counts run consecutively.

Another person, Dawson Kurer, was also charged with arson of property other than a building, as party to a crime, in connection to the homicide. He pleaded no contest to the charge in 2025 and was sentenced to one-and-a-half years in prison and two years of extended supervision.

The backstory:

West Allis police were called for a shooting on the morning of Oct. 18, 2023. At the scene near 64th and Lincoln, officers found the victim - since identified as 24-year-old Noah Phillips of Racine - dead in an apartment complex parking lot. An autopsy found he had three gunshot wounds and blunt force injuries.

The backstory:

According to a criminal complaint, a witness said he heard  pop  sounds and then looked out a window to see someone  yank  Phillips from the driver's seat of a silver car. That person then got into the car and drove away.

A friend of Phillips' spoke to police, per the complaint. The friend said Phillips was picking up a friend,  Chop,  and driving  Chop  to Milwaukee. The friend said he knew  Chop  had given Phillips a  silver or gray  car in a drug trade, and investigators used a photo of the
