Milwaukee group protests deadly ICE agent shootings in Maine, Texas The event happened Wednesday night at Milwaukee's Burnham Park.

A group gathered at Milwaukee's Burnham Park Wednesday to protest two recent deadly shootings involving federal immigration agents in Maine and Texas.

The group called  ICE Out of Milwaukee Coalition  demanded accountability from Immigration and Customs Enforcement.


Agents shot and killed a 52-year-old man in Houston last week. Monday, a 25-year-old man was shot and killed in Maine. Both shootings happened during attempted vehicle stops.

 Each of them left holes in their families and in their communities,  said protester Emilio De Torre.  We need to carry this. We need to grieve. 

Organizers had planned to march as part of the protest but canceled due to the heat.
