'He just punched me': Body camera video shows Greendale officer assaulted Greendale police said moments before the assault, the suspect had been driving recklessly along Loomis Road.

Greendale police released new body camera video Friday showing the moments an officer was punched by a suspect wanted for reckless driving.

The video shows the officer hearing the dispatch call on his radio.


He makes contact with the driver and tries to initiate a traffic stop.

The video shows the driver exiting his car, despite the officer's instructions for him to stay in the car.

 Oh, you want to Tase me?  The suspect said as the officer had his Taser drawn.

The video shows the officer trying to deploy his taser, but the suspect started charging toward him before punching the officer in the face.

Officers later took the suspect into custody.12 News has reached out to the Greendale Police and the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office to inquire if the suspect has been charged.
