Family identifies business owner, father killed Wednesday at his shop Keyawn Davis, 44, was shot and killed at his smoke shop, Iz'taca Exotic, on Milwaukee's northwest side. Police are still looking for the shooter.

Keyawn Davis, a 44-year-old father and owner of the smoke shop Iz'taca Exotic, has been identified by his family as the victim of a fatal shooting in Milwaukee.

The shooting happened Wednesday on the city's northwest side at Appleton Avenue and Congress Street Video from the scene showed the area near other food shops and a Chinese restaurant blocked off as police and detectives collected evidence.


A victim witness was also present at the scene. Milwaukee police said it happened at 11:40 a.m., and that Davis died from his injuries. Police have not arrested anyone and are still looking for the shooter, who they say is unknown to them.

According to a woman who has identified herself to WISN 12 News as one of Davis's sisters, the 44-year-old father lived in Madison.

 He was not into no gang stuff, not into no malice. No bad energy. He never put negativity out there, always about building and wanting to do better for his children and what he produced in the world. It really just breaks my heart though. It really, really does,  Lanell Taylor said.

Police have not yet made any arrests or identified a suspect. Authorities have not confirmed the shooter's motive or whether Davis was shot inside or outside the store.
