One killed in shooting at Milwaukee apartment complex; one in custody Police say the shooting happened just before 2 a.m. Friday near 20th and Juneau in Milwaukee.

A 47-year-old person is dead and a 25-year-old is in custody following an overnight shooting at a Milwaukee apartment complex.

Milwaukee police say the shooting happened around 2:00 a.m. Friday, near North 20th Street and West Juneau Avenue, just blocks from King Park.


Video from the scene shows officers investigating inside a fenced-in parking lot at an apartment complex. Officers were also seen entering the building during the investigation.

Police say the 47-year-old victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 25-year-old was taken into custody at the scene in connection with the shooting.

Police have not released the victim's identity or details about what led up to the shooting.

Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
