Brookfield vehicle theft What To Know: According to Brookfield police, the suspect used a false name to gain entry to the Crunch Fitness on Capitol Drive early Friday morning, Oct. 9, before stealing the keys to a blue 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. On Friday night, Brookfield police said the vehicle and suspect were found. Police later told FOX6 that the suspect, Amy Jones, was found in Illinois and that she is the woman who was accused of posing as the MPS teacher. She is currently still in custody in Illinois. Woman posed as substitute teacher The backstory: A woman is accused of posing as a Milwaukee Public Schools substitute teacher, going into a classroom and berating students in September. Amy Jones It happened at Rufus King International High School on Sept. 24. According to a criminal complaint, Jones scouted the school beforehand and got inside after she pretended to be a substitute teacher and put her name on a sign-in sheet. A real teacher set up class materials with Jones in a classroom for the first 20 minutes, and prosecutors said Jones began acting out when that teacher left the room.
