A 17-year-old was shot and killed Saturday night near 39th and Lisbon in Milwaukee's Washington Park neighborhood, and police have arrested a 14-year-old suspect in connection with the shooting.

The shooting happened just before 10 p.m., steps away from a barbershop and community outreach center.


 Just to see it, like, happen right in front of where we walked through every day is just like a shocker,  Ken, a resident in the neighborhood said.

Residents expressed frustration over the ongoing gun violence in the city.

 It's like nowadays, it's so easy for people to get hands on guns. It's like, why 14-year-olds walking around with a gun?  Ken said.

 Just over it, like the senseless violence that's going on in the city,  he said.  We got to do better, Milwaukee. 

Milwaukee police said they are still working to determine what led up to the shooting.
