Hazmat crew called to downtown Milwaukee for suspicious package A Hazmat crew was called to downtown Milwaukee on Friday afternoon for a report of a suspicious package. The Milwaukee Fire Department said it was called to Broadway and Wisconsin Avenue about 2:25 p.m. The package was determined to not be hazardous. It is the same building where U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore has an office. An all-clear has been given. Federal authorities are investigating letters with suspicious substances that have been mailed to congressional and election offices nationwide. On Wednesday, a suspicious mail piece addressed to the Wisconsin Elections Commission was deemed not dangerous after a review, the agency said. #wisn #crimewatchmilwaukee
