Revisiting Walworth County's suitcase murders in new 20/20 episode Two suitcases containing human remains were discovered in Walworth County during the 2010s, and ABC News correspondent John Quiñones revisits the investigation in a new 20/20 report airing on Friday. WISN 12 News's Nick Bohr covered the case. The suitcases, abandoned on the side of a highway, contained the remains of two women who did not know each other. The remains were bound with rope and badly decomposed, making it impossible for investigators to extract DNA. Quiñones described the case as one of the most shocking and disturbing crime stories we've ever covered. Authorities worked on the case for months before learning about a missing woman in Minnesota who had last been seen with a man she met through an online dating website. Quiñones explained that the website catered to individuals involved in BDSM, which stands for bondage, domination, and sadomasochism. Police later discovered DNA on the rope used to strangle and bind the victims. The two women were identified as 37-year-old Laura Simonson and 19-year-old Jenny Gamez. Authorities described them as vulnerable women seeking love and affection, who tragically encountered a man who called himself Mr. Handcuffs online. Nothing can prepare you for what we found inside those suitcases, one officer told Quiñones during the investigation. The 20/20 special, titled The Suitcase Murders, airs Friday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m. It can also be seen later on Hulu. It features Bohr and explores the twists and turns of this haunting case. #wisn #crimewatchmilwaukee
