Hit-and-run involving pedestrian closes Fond du Lac Avenue

A hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian shut down part of Fond du Lac Avenue near West Silver Spring Drive on Milwaukee's north side Monday evening, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.

Southbound lanes reopened later in the evening, but other lanes of Highway 145 remained closed.


Authorities have not released details about what led to the crash, the pedestrian's condition or the vehicle involved.
