Authorities arrested a man wanted in a cross-country murder spree with three victims spanning from Seattle, Washington, to Kenosha.

U.S. Marshals tracked down Michael O'Neal Fleming and arrested the 33-year-old in Chicago Tuesday night. Kenosha police said he is a person of interest in a double homicide there. Authorities in Seattle believe he shot and killed a gas station clerk, his former coworker, on Oct. 13.

Kenosha police put out an alert Tuesday warning the public that O'Neal Fleming was armed and dangerous. Police said he is the person of interest in the death of his mother and her husband. Police found the couple dead inside a Kenosha apartment complex near 55th Avenue and Washington Road Monday.

A little shaken up, Ophelia Ellis said. And sad because I knew them, I always talked to them, you know?

Ellis said she was shocked to learn of the double homicide one unit over from her.

They came for a welfare check. They didn't know what they was going to find, Ellis said.

First responders found 59-year-old Rena O'Neal and her husband, 57-year-old Rodney Brushwood, shot to death inside their apartment Monday.

We were standing right there at the top of the stairs, and bang, Ellis said. And I thought Steve had slammed the door.

Ellis said she now wonders if that sound she heard was the deadly gunfire.
