Teenager ordered to stay in custody after his 4-year-old sister was shot and killed Court records show a second, unlocked weapon was found in the home where the 4-year-old was killed A commissioner ordered a 16-year-old to remain in custody after his 4-year-old sister was shot and killed. Police say a 4-year-old girl was killed Saturday morning after a 6-year-old got hold of a gun and fired it. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified the little girl as Jurnee Walker-Scales. Milwaukee police arrested the 16-year-old brother for possessing a firearm. The Children's Court only referred to him as JW. He appeared in court Monday afternoon. Officers responded to a reported shooting near North 53rd and West Center streets around 9 a.m. The child was pronounced dead at the scene. Court records show there is an allegation that the 16-year-old reportedly knew a gun had been played with by his siblings. Police recovered a second weapon inside the home after the shooting that was hidden but not properly locked. Milwaukee police are not seeking any additional suspects. The 16-year-old suspect JW is due back in court on Friday. He remains in custody. This is a developing story. WISN 12 News is working to learn more. #wisn #crimewatchmilwaukee
