A foul odor coming from a Bronx apartment led to the discovery of two rotting corpses inside - and cops suspect a double overdose, a police source said Tuesday. The bodies were so badly decomposed that cops were unable to tell the gender of either victim. The grisly discovery was made inside the Carpenter Ave. apartment near E. 228th St., just across the street from Shoelace Park in Wakefield, about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, police said. Cops entering the apartment after neighbors reported a foul odor found one of the bodies on the floor. The other was on the couch. No visible trauma was found on either body. The city Medical Examiner will determine how they died and assist police in identifying the pair. Drug paraphernalia was found near the two bodies, leading detectives to believe the two may have died from overdoses, a police source said. #nydailynews #crimewatchnewyork
