 We are so proud of our Angel,  Rackal said - calling her death  an unbearable tragedy. 

 Angel was always a happy, contented, and calm person all through her life. In the face of every crisis that her family encountered, she would be the calming element all the time,  Rackal said.  She had a quiet strength even from a child. 

Rampersad was one of three soldiers reportedly killed during the missile attack on the US base in Jordan, including Army First Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Hawaii, and Pfc. Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Texas.

Rampersad was identified by the Pentagon Tuesday, as American forces bombed Iran for an 11th straight night.

Another US service member, Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, of North Carolina, was reportedly also killed disarming a downed Iranian drone in Iraq on Sunday.

Friends of Rampersad on Wednesday remembered her as a strong-willed  social butterfly  who dreamed of seeing the world while serving her country.

Rampersad's family is still  awaiting the release of our daughter to make final arrangements  for her burial, Rackal said Thursday.
