However, following five weeks of testimony, the panel endured seven days of deliberation before Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial.

The jury sent a total of three notes indicating they were deadlocked, triggering Sullivan to send them back to deliberate more and then invoke the  Tuey-Rodriguez  charge, before eventually declaring a mistrial Friday afternoon.
