An out-of-control Tesla driver was so drunk she doesn't remember allegedly smashing into scaffolding in Midtown Wednesday and killing a passenger who was her best friend, Manhattan prosecutors said.

Alejandra Paharsingh, 27, who is being held on vehicular manslaughter charges, had a blood-alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit when she crashed her 2024 Tesla on East 42nd Street and left good pal Elise Suomi, a mom of a 3-year-old girl, dead, the DA's office said.

Paharsingh - who describes Suomi as  My bitch  in social media posts extoling their friendship - told cops she had no memory of the events that took her friend's life.

 I was present at the Midtown South interview room during an interview of the defendant, who admitted, in substance, to consuming multiple alcoholic beverages on the evening of September 8, 2026,  NYPD officer Thomas Dillon said in a criminal complaint in the case.

 The defendant further stated, in substance, that she did not remember driving the car on 42nd Street. 

Police said Paharsingh, a Connecticut resident, is accused of driving the car onto the sidewalk around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, taking out a mailbox and slamming into the scaffolding with Suomi in the car.

She allegedly drove several more blocks before stopping at the intersection of 42nd Street and Second Avenue, where cops showed up and rushed Suomi, who lives in Harlem, to Bellevue Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after 3 a.m.

Paharsingh, who was treated for minor injuries, had a blood-alcohol level of .229, nearly three times the state's legal limit of .08 for driving under the influence, police said.

She was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court on Wednesday night.
