Carrasco had twice been charged in domestic violence incidents involving Ramirez in January, and sources said brought her flowers this week in a lame and failed attempt to reconcile.

On June 16, Rios was also a victim of domestic violence and posted a video of her battered face online with the message,  once a man puts his hands on you, get him unalived immediately. 

Shortly before noon that day, she got a message from a stranger - one of hundreds she received.

 Feel better soon gorgeous,  Ramirez wrote.  God is good you're recover soon! Take it easy and reach out if anything,  followed by a heart.

Rios said the message was lost in the wave of responses of support she received - until she remembered it just this week and checked out the sender.

 I looked up her name when I found out. She was thrown off the f--ing roof,  she said Wednesday.

 There's so much women going through domestic violence, and it's not fair, we're not protected,  Rios added.  I just want to be here. I want to pray and light my candle. 

Fittingly, her visit to the memorial came as the nation observes domestic violence awareness month.
