Amber Eggers, best known for appearing on We TV's  Love After Lockup,  has died. She was 41.

The reality star, who appeared on the show's second season in 2019, died Thursday after being hospitalized in Atlanta, her mother, Monica Eggers, told TMZ.

Monica said her daughter had been admitted several days ago after she began feeling unwell. Doctors eventually could no longer keep her heart beating, and she ultimately died from acute liver failure.

 We are deeply saddened by the passing of Amber Eggers, an original and unforgettable member of the  Love After Lockup' family,  We TV said in a statement to Page Six.

 She was a bright light, who shared her life story with courage and authenticity, and we are honored to have been a part of her journey over several years,  the statement continued.  Our hearts are with her family and friends who held her close. 

Friends also confirmed Amber's death on social media, with one paying tribute to her on Instagram.

 There really isn't a good way to say something like this. It doesn't feel real, and I don't think any words can make it feel real. Amber Eggers has lost her fight today and passed away,  the friend wrote in part alongside a photo of Eggers.

 The doctors did everything they could, but in the end, her body just couldn't keep fighting,  the friend added.  And if you knew Amber, you know she is a fighter.
