Victoria gave birth to Kyle on July 6, 1984, in Washington, D.C., with her then-husband, Michael, who died in a 1997 skiing accident at 39.

Kyle attended Milton Academy, a private high school, before studying history at Georgetown University.

She continued her education, earning a Master of Science in Early Education from Pace University and a Master of Education in Education Policy and Management from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.

After graduating college, she worked in New York City as a Teach For America teacher.

According to Kylie's obituary, she was  a passionate advocate for more equitable elementary education and charter schooling,  who worked  with technology companies focused on reforming and improving school curricula  and as  a coach for educators working with young students.
