Blueface at the 6th Annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards held at The Beverly Hilton on June 05, 2026 in Los Angeles, California. Blueface has reportedly been arrested in Los Angeles for obstructing L.A. County Sheriffs' investigation into reports of a man in possession of a firearm. According to KTLA, the rapper, born Johnathan Porter, was detained in Santa Clarita and was charged with a misdemeanor count of suspicion of delaying or obstructing deputies in the performance of their duties. On Monday (Oct. 19), deputies encountered Porter and a group of people after arriving at the 24200 block of Magic Mountain Parkway while responding to a 911 call regarding a man with a gun. Despite authorities ultimately determining that the 911 call was fake and that there was no firearm present, Porter's alleged noncompliance during the investigation resulted in him being handcuffed and detained at the scene. Deputies responded, completed an investigation, and determined no crime occurred at the location, Nemeth said. The Thotiana creator was livestreaming on Kick at the time of the incident. (Porter's team did not immediately respond to a request for comment.) The rapper's arrest marks the controversial hitmaker's latest interaction with the law since his release from prison in November 2025 after serving two years of a four-year prison sentence for violation of probation. However, it appears that Porter has been a victim of swatting, which is when a person falsely reports a crime to authorities in hopes of a Special Weapons and Tactics team (SWAT) responding to the supposed crime scene. Such an instance happened this past summer, when Porter was detained and released following reports of a shooting at the rapper's King of Crab restaurant in California. It was later determined that no shooting had taken place. Porter is currently on probation in connection with charges from a 2022 shooting outside of a Las Vegas strip club. #vibe #podcastdailynews
